Yummy!

I haven't always been a sweets eater. But ever since having the boys I CRAVE them. Before kids, I always enjoyed a bowl of ice cream or some cookies, but now I have to have them around.
So last night while Brandon was out, Greyson and I decided that we would make some Chocolate Chip Cookies. Okay, so maybe I decided, but he was more than willing to help!

Isn't he a cutie?!

He loved eatting the dough

And then putting the spoon back in to stir it up!

Waiting for the cookies to be done!
Brandon was super excited when he got home from helping out a friend. He had fresh out of the oven cookies with a huge glass of milk!

Another Interview

In mid January Brandon had an interview with a firm down in Springfield. It was kinda ironic, how it all happened.

My good friend Melissa's husband works as a paralegal at a firm in Downtown Springfield. Matthew loves his job, and she talked all the time about how much she thought Brandon would like it. It was a smaller firm, but kinda did what Brandon was interested in doing. And we lucked out and they were hiring. Brandon drove all the way to Springfield to drop off his resume, hoping to get a chance to talk to the husband and wife owners. He didn't get a chance to, but they did call back for an interview.

A week or so later, the five of us loaded up and headed to Springfield, for Brandon's big interview. I had to be back in St Louis at 7 that evening for a Twins Club Board meeting, and Brandon's interview wasn't scheduled until 2:30. So the boys and I drove Brandon to the interview and just hung out in the car, so that afterward we could high tail it back to STL. His interview lasted an hour and a half! It seemed like forever sitting in my Armada.

After a strange set of circumstances, we found out a few weeks later that Brandon didn't get the job. We were upset, but they told Brandon about another firm in town that was hiring. (Upset is an understatement, Brandon and I were working out at the local gym, and I started bawling on the treadmill!)

Come to find out one of the named partners in the firm that Brandon was referred to, was best friends to another alumni of Brandon's fraternity. During Brandon's first year of school, he had heard about this firm, but they weren't hiring any summer associates. So Brandon sent in his information to BLMH(Baird, Lighnter, Millsap, and Harpool). Hoping that by knowing a connection alone, he would get an interview. And it worked! So in mid Feburary we went back to Springfield for the interview.

Brandon fell in love with the office. The people were very nice, and he thinks he did great in the interview, so we are just waiting to find out!

She is Here!

While in Springfield for one of Brandon's interviews, my friend Sara had her adorable baby!

Molly made quite the entrance, she arrived four days after her due date and was born on Sara's dad's birthday!

I was so excited yet bummed when I got the phone call that she was in labor, but that I wouldn't get a chance to be there, since I was in STL. But it worked out perfectly, I was able to see her two days after she made her grand entrance into this world. And she is beautiful!

Congrats Sara and Justin!!!

Playing in the Snow

A couple of days after Super Bowl Sunday, a good size snow finally fell in St Louis.. and the even better part- we were completely prepared to play in it! We usually talk about getting a sled around Christmas- but put it off until after it's too late. But not this time! This time I went to Target a few nights before the snow was supposed to hit and bought the boys snow bibs, a sled, and all the other necessitites.

Aren't those blue eyes just beautiful?!

After playing around in the backyard for a while, Brandon wasn't satisfied. He said that we needed to go down a "real" hill. So we loaded up and went to the high school that is just a couple of miles away from the house. While we had a blast going down the steep hill, I think it took the boys a little while to get used to the speed.

After going down the hill went headed home for some "warm" hot chocolate and cookies. And then we all went down for naps! It was a great day

Super Bowl Sunday

GOOO SAINTS!!!

Since Brandon and I started dating we've always looked forward to Super Bowl Sunday. We used to make a ton of food and watch the Friends Seasons all day until the half time show of the game, but since living in St Louis, we've actually started watching the game. This year was especially exciting, since the New Orleans Saints made it to the Super Bowl for the First TIME! My whole family is from Louisiana, so even though I might not be the biggest Saints fan (I was born and raised a Dallas Cowboys fan who married a die hard St Louis Rams fan), I still have to route for the home team.

We dressed the boys up in their LSU Tiger shirts and taught them to say GOOO SAINTS! It sounded more like "Go AINT'S!!!! So we all pigged out on Rotel, little smookies, brownies and cookies and watched the great nail bitter of a game!
